By walking through the very heart of the city, we will reveal its true face and point out the traces left on it by past times. We start the tour in the city nucleus – na Trg Republike, which is marked by the famous horseman, Prince Mihailo, surrounded by two temples of culture – the National Museum and the National Theatre.
From Republic Square we head towards Knez Mihailova Street, the main pedestrian zone and one of the liveliest places in the city, known for shopping and significant historical buildings. Then we continue towards Kralja Petra Street , one of the oldest shopping centers in Belgrade, which still exudes the charm of the old town.
After a walk through the city, we arrive at the Belgrade Fortress, which carefully preserves the two-thousand-year history of the city from ancient Singidunum to the present day. A walk through Kalemegdan, a large park that precedes the fortress, is an opportunity to enjoy nature and find tranquility in the heart of a bustling city. When we reach the top of the fortress, the view of the confluence of two monumental rivers – the Sava and the Danube , and the most recognizable symbol of the city – Pobednik – awaits us there . He watches over Belgrade, reminding us of its survival, despite all adversity.
This tour offers you a unique opportunity to walk and experience everything that makes this city special – from its history, culture, to modern urban life.
